Jay-Z, the 'curator' of "The Great Gatsby" soundtrack, really put all of his resources into making the film's music resonate with its intended audience. Having already enlisted the help of artists like Florence and The Machine, Lana Del Rey, Fergie, and Q-Tip, Jay got a blog favorite in The xx to record an original song for Gatsby, titled "Together". The track retains all of the signature sound of The xx, with its peaceful bass and guitar familiarly harmonizing in unison, yet is even more haunting than the band's usual melancholy tone.
