In Case You Missed It: Wild Belle, "Backslider"

 Wild Belle is a great new age reggae/indie-pop duo from Chicago that we already wrote about previously.  But because this blog wasn't up when they released their album Isles back in March, I wanted to share a couple of their videos on here.

Their music is pretty infectious yet oddly relaxing, as Natalie Bergman's jazzy voice combines with her brother's smooth saxophone (#datsax) for a sound uniquely their own.  The video for "Backslider" isn't overly complex plot-wise, but functions as an aesthetically pleasing montage of varying images shown on a projector while Natalie appears in the foreground singing. No complaints here.



"It's Too Late" might be an even better song than the former, and the video functions much in the same way albeit in a much more psychedelic manner. The video is given a kaleidoscope-type filter as Natalie wears throwback outfits in the vein of sixties chic. She can also surprisingly dance, skip to 2:05 for some laughs. Enjoy.
